Tuckshop at Barringwood licensed cafe is located at Barringwood Estate Vineyard, just a hop, skip and jump out of Devonport on the road to Cradle Mountain. The cafe has a stylish retro vibe and owners and chefs Sheona McLetchie and Tristan Abbott have an understanding of real food, locally sourced, cooked with love and in tune with Tasmania’s distinct seasons. They offer fresh oysters shucked to order, handmade breads, terrines, tarts, braises, cakes and condiments. Along with the estates’ highly regarded cool climate wines, the cafe offers local beer on tap, cider and locally distilled gin. The Estate has an expansive deck and lawns overlooking the lush Don Valley to the sea. Tuckshop at Barringwood is open for lunch, snacks and tastings of the Estate’s wines five days a week, with brunch offered every Sunday. Once a month they host the ‘Tuckshop Sessions’ with resident DJ St.Nick and make use of their very own food truck ‘Tuckshop Foodvan’.
