This Tasmanian family go a long way to ensure that whatever they do, it’s done well. So much so that their other farming name is  ‘Perfecta’, and I don’t think that needs any further explanation.

Tasmanian Pickled Onions is the home of the more commonly know ‘Blue Banner’ Pickled Onions. They take the large and small onions that don’t have a home and apply their famous - and secret - recipe to them. The different sizes are great for different purposes too, small for snacking and large for slicing their way onto platters or in recipes.

Find yourself greeted by the delightful cafe and restaurant, ‘Windows on Westella’, showcasing the factory through viewing windows on your left and numerous ceiling high windows on your right, looking onto the well groomed gardens of Westella.

Through the menu you’ll find plenty of delicious treats, including nods to the pickled onions as they show off the many ways that they can accompany.

The Restaurant has a great warm atmosphere and the staff will make sure that you’re well kept. Whether you’re a little bit pekish or ready for a full meal, located centrally on the Tasting Trail, this stop is a desirable one as you venture down the Bass Highway, near Ulverstone.
