Driving through the valley beside the Great Western Tiers, down Mole Creek Road, you’ll come across the historic village of Chudleigh. It’s here that there’s a honey shop specialising in all products honey related.
A World of Honey
Melita Honey farm
The building is covered in hand cut bees, wrapping around the white and blue cladding. The trail of bees enter the shop, weaving throughout until they meet a live bee display. The shop has an array of honey based products, merchandise and goods to taste. Nougat, ice-creams, mead and of course, honey.
There are eight different kinds of delicious honey nougat, imagine crunchy roasted hazelnuts set in dark chocolate nougat or zinging cranberries with vanilla, almonds and pisachios. Melita Honey Farm boasts over 50 different honeys, from single origins (like Leatherwood) to rich gourmet honey chocolate and even red chilli honey.
Try the different flavours at your leisure before wondering through the various displays. There’s plenty for the whole family to check out too with stories of how bees contribute to the environment and the benefits we can find from related products.
