In the small township of Latrobe is a Californian style bungalow house, home to a chocolate factory, Anvers Confectionery. Welcomed by old gardens, exceptionally kept, you’ll firstly find your way into the cafe and restaurant, warm wooden interiors and dessert display cabinets all around.
The Chocolate Factory
House of Anvers
With so many delicious desserts and chocolates tempting you as you wonder through, you’ll be sure to grab a menu. The delicious smell of breakfast fills the air throughout the morning and it evolves into lunch as the day goes on. Any way that you move from the cafe will only place you closer to more chocolate.
Watch on from factory viewing windows as workers busy themselves, crafting the chocolate into molds or coating truffles in different flavours. History of the Belgium chocolatier’s journey with Anvers sits proudly on walls and shelves within an indoor viewing platform. Around the outside of the chocolate factory you’ll see a second viewing platform surrounded by beautiful gardens and outdoor seating area.
Of course there is always something else you would like to try, but don’t quite have the room for. In which case, head into their retail store and grab the ‘other flavour’ that has been tempting you - or perhaps it will make the decision more difficult by trialling more flavours!
